I copied the admx and adml files from a working Remote Assistance pc and pasted them into %windir%\PolicyDefinitions and en-US on the WS7E unit.Attempted to launch Local Computer Policy and modify the Remote Assistance object and was unable to. Executed dism /online /add-package /packagepath:.Renamed 'remotepg.dl_' to 'remotepg.dll'.I will quickly outline the steps I took so far. I had to manually install the cab using dism. I am able to create a Remote Assistance Invitation and use this to connect from a technician PC, but when I attempt to run msra /offerra and specify the computer name I am greeted with the prompt, "Your offer to help could not be sent". He probably added some port forwarding and some other network magic to make it safer than it is anyways.I have run into an interesting issue with Remote Assistance on Windows 7 Embedded Standard. Sounds a bit like I'm shilling but I'm really happy with the solution and it runs really smoothly for us and our remote artists (animation studio).Īgain, not sure how safe it is but if my boss approved it it should be fine. Our users are also using it for remote access, you simply assign a license to a user in their webui and they can access it themselves with a Chrome browser after you install the hostsoftware on their machine using your studio key. Not sure how secure it is, that's not my department but they listen to feedback, atleast at the moment, so if you like it but have some issues they may include your features and/or improve their security (if it is lacking in the first place, again, no idea, don't know much about that) the site is reemo.io, not too sure right now but I think we pay around 10€ for every license every month (by user, not hosts, so if it's only used by your admin you only need one license per admin. Works really well and allows you to see all your machines in a nice web gui, uses chrome right now to connect to the hosts but runs quite smooth. We recently changed from anydesk to reemo (relatively new, I think).
